Limited Warranty Policy

 

1. Used tire warranty is valid 7 days from day of purchase and extends to 2000 km, whichever comes first. This includes manufacturer or “hidden” defects that become apparent after installation and usage. This warranty will not be honoured if there is any evidence of damage or scuffing of the tire or if any of the conditions stated in the “what is not covered” items apply (see 1-13 below).

2. There is no tread wear warranty on used tires. We will offer a 60 day/5000 km tread wear warranty if the vehicle receives a 4 wheel alignment at our facility within 7 days prior, or on the day of installation of the used tires. This is only a tread wear warranty. We do not extend the 7 day warranty as stated in (1) above as conditions beyond our control can exist such as running over objects, potholes etc.

3. This Warranty does not replace or modify any original tire manufacturer's warranty on material and workmanship.

4. Used tire warranty is offered and exercised at our discretion by Total Alignment Truck & Auto. Used tires are normally sold in single tires and pairs. On occasion we will retail a matched set of 4 tires. This by no means indicates the supplied warranty tire will be of the same brand and sidewall appearance. See (5) immediately below.

5. If we do not have the exact same brand of tire that we sold you in stock, we will replace the tire with a different brand of the same size and tread type having equivalent or more tread depth than the warranty tire in question.

 

WHAT IS NOT COVERED:

 

1. A tire that is damaged / failed due to vandalism.

2. A tire that is damaged / failed due to an accident.

3. A tire that is damaged / failed due to commercial use.

4. A tire that is damaged / failed due to racing.

5. A tire that is damaged / failed due to Off-Road use.

6. A tire that is damaged / failed due to snow chains or studs.(Non commercially acceptable studs)

7. A tire that is damaged / failed due to rapid or irregular wear.

8. A tire that is damaged / failed due to wear from worn mechanical components on the vehicle.

9. Tires transferred from the vehicle on which they were originally installed.

10. Loss of time, inconvenience, loss of use of vehicle or consequential damage.

11. Total Alignment Truck & Auto assumes that the customer knows about proper tire maintenance and care when providing this limited warranty.

12. Our tires do NOT have a money back guarantee. There is a warranty on our tires, but there are NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS. The standard limited warranty as stated above will be honoured for used tires.

13. A tire that is damaged/failed due to the rubbing against the fender or another object because it was too big or wide for the car.
     

TIRE CARE RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

1. Have the air pressure in your tires checked by a tire professional as least once a month. Serious injury may result from tire failure due to under inflation.

2. Always request that the air pressure in your tires be set to the tire or vehicle manufacturer's specifications.

3. Do not overload your vehicle. Serious injury may result from overloading your vehicle.

4. Fix-a-flat products should be avoided if possible. These products can make a tire non-repairable.

5. If you are purchasing less than four tires, mount the new tires on the rear of the vehicle.

6. It is recommended to have your lug nuts re-tightened 50-100 KM after your tires are serviced or replaced.

7. Request that your tire and rim assemblies are hand torqued with a calibrated torque wrench to the vehicle manufacturers specifications.

8. Your tires should be rotated every 12,000 KM.  We charge $45.00 for this service.

9. Please keep your vehicle stored out of the sun to keep the tires out of extreme heat. Extreme heat could dry rot tires and shortens their life span considerably.

10. Proper alignment of your vehicle will considerably add lifespan to your tires and will save you fuel over a poorly aligned vehicle!
